About the Role

We are looking for a Liability Underwriting Intern to join our Liability team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student who wants to gain hands‑on experience in a technical, dynamic, and international environment within the insurance industry.

You will support the underwriting team throughout the full underwriting process — from data collection and risk analysis to pricing, policy issuance, and interactions with brokers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support underwriters in negotiations with brokers, contributing analyses and preparing required documentation.
• Register all reviewed cases in the internal underwriting database to ensure accuracy and proper tracking.
• Issue new business and renewal policies, following internal procedures.
• Communicate all new business and renewals to the Operations department for correct processing.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Engineering, Claims, and Finance throughout the underwriting workflow.
• Assist in the pricing and underwriting of industrial risks, including data gathering, preliminary evaluations, and preparing underwriting files.
• Acquire knowledge of the main players in the insurance market, including brokers and insurance companies.
• Manage specific quotation tools, ensuring correct use of rating systems and pricing templates.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for the underwriting team.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends to support decision‑making.

Requirements

• Academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Law, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Good command of English (B2+).
• Interest in the insurance industry, ideally within Marine or industrial underwriting.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
