Data Analyst – Dublin

This is an exciting new role within our growing Data Analytics team in Dublin.  This Data Analyst will provide accurate, reliable and timely Management Information to Senior Stakeholders across the RSA Business.  An important component of the role is to interpret and convert Business requirements into usable MI providing in the most efficient manner possible. 


RSA is in the process of building its central Data and Analytics capability.  The new team is tasked with providing Data, MI and Analytics to the Business.  The team works closely with all functions.  The selected candidate will be expected to provide technical development skills to support database and dashboard development.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop databases, data warehouses and dashboards which facilitate analysis and insights, and which drive Business actions
  • Work with Business stakeholders to identify, develop and convert their requirements into usable MI
  • Development of scheduled MI and reports
  • Coordination and prioritisation of Business requests
  • Ad hoc functional reporting and automation of same
  • Dashboard visualisation, design and build
  • Develop predictive analytics solutions leveraging the Enterprise Data Structure

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Candidate must be highly numerate holding a degree in a quantitive subject (e.g. maths, engineering, data, analytics), minimum result 2.1
  • Advanced SQL is compulsory and experience with MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS) is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and or understanding of ETL processes and tools is required
  • Datawarehouse development is required along with experience using dashboard technologies
  • Qlik Sense is strongly preferred, other dashboard technologies will be considered
  • Experience with R will be an advantage
  • Data model development
  • Understanding of development lifecycles and release schedules is required
