Fantastic new career opportunity for experienced Litigation Claims Team Manager.  This is a key role within outstanding claims team in Dublin.  


This Litigation Claims Team Manager will be involve leading a litigation claims team to achieve operational and indemnity/quality targets and deliver the defined customer service proposition.

You will spend much of your time guiding your team, resolving queries and problems, providing clear goals and developing your teams professional and technical capabilities where appropriate.
You will also be responsible for the relationship management of the RSA defence solicitor panel. 

You are likely to be based in an office and work face to face with your team daily and having regular interaction with other team leaders & functions. You will have experience of guiding a team and have excellent technical knowledge and coaching skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the team to ensure indemnity and operational claims targets are delivered.
  • Guiding and coaching the team to increase professional and technical capability and improve claims service standards.
  • Resolving or facilitating resolution of complex claims queries and problems that the team have escalated.
  • Working closely with other team leaders to effectively implement change and claims strategy to deliver agreed business benefits.
  • Engaging with Brokers on key accounts to support the growth & retention agenda
  • Liaising with key stakeholders (Portfolio, Actuarial and Sales & Marketing) to provide insight on Claims Trends
  • Monitoring and reporting operational and financial metrics to ensure delivery of agreed financial and operational targets
  • Supporting and encouraging the identification and implementation of appropriate new and/or better ways of doing things to improve service and/or efficiency
  • Reviewing allocated cases and achieving settlement, within designated personal Authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
  • Management of the RSA Defence Solicitor Panel, chairing regular meetings & providing management information on performance & quality of handling.
  • Effectiveness of claims settlements as measured using Colossus, TFRs and settlement channels, solicitor MI
  • Effectiveness of Claims Reserving measured by TFR and Claims KPI packs
  • Managing your team within planned budget.
  • Optimizes/controls indemnity spend.
  • Motivates and develops team creating a positive environment.
  • Contribution to developing team members to ensure succession within the Claims function.


Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experiences in Injury & Liability claims
  • Strong people management experiences
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Hold a recognized qualification in line with the requirements of the Minimum Competency Code for this role (e.g. CIP / ACII or other recognized qualification)

  • This role falls within scope of the Minimum Competency Code (MCC) and includes a responsibility to directly manage or supervise other in-scope roles.
  • This role is a "controlled function" as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that you meet the requirements as set out in the Fitness & Probity standards issued in this Act.  CF5,6,7&8
